Can objects be social? Have a story to tell? Itizen thinks so (get it, citizen minus the c). While not really in the realm of connected devices, they give you some tags (stick on or sew on) which you attach to an item you’re giving away or gifting. You log the item and tell its story and hopefully the next person who gets the item, logs it and tells the next chapter.
Whether or not this takes off remains to be seen. I wonder if we pass along enough things in our everyday lives to make this interesting. But in these times where it seems the trend is to live with less and share more, it might just have legs.
